Now that Stillmoor is going to start seeing some PvP action thanks to the approaching addition of Conquest, RIFT players have started questioning what other maps around Telara would be ideal to one day undergo a similar transformation. The map on top of that list for some players? Ember Isle. The sheer size of Ember Isle would make a very expansive PvP playground, and if choked full of interesting objectives, there could be a lot of potential. The cliffs alone would make fantastic defensive points. Pair those cliffs with some fancy siege weaponry? Oh yeah.
One RIFT player came up with some pretty cool objective ideas, including some ways to boost crafting in Conquest, and ideas on how to add siege vehicles, rifts, colossi, mines, secret extractors, and even include the current Ember Isle natural defensive systems.
Here are some of Khelendross’ ideas:
“Sourcewell Extractors: These are extractors at the location of the sourcewells in Ember Isle. There are 13 of these I believe. These can be upgraded with charges as they are now. The defensive arch now grants a defensive bonus to players within its radius. The upgraded turrets no longer spawn guards.
Portal Extractors: These are at the major portals around Ember Isle (not the main cities, but Ember Watch acts a portal extractor). These can be upgraded with turrets and when completely maxed out will spawn elite guards (4)
Extraction Depot: These are the main cities of Ember Island. There are 3. Each one of these is a near a spawn point for each faction. There are 3 of these. These can be upgraded via crafting to have turrets (there are specific places they can be added that are marked on the ground, 8 per city, as well as 4 spots for healing turrets). You can also using crafting resources build construct colossi to defend your city (one per city a time).
Ember Watch: Ember Watch is a central flash point and focus point for the map. Whoever has control of it has access to Dormant Core. Dormant Core is a open world PVE/PVP raid area just like it is on the normal map. Now empowered by gorging on source energy the primal creatures have grown extremely dangerous. They do however drop large amounts of resources. They also guard a massive boss at the bottom which drops elite resources used to build colossi and siege equipment (the only other place to get these are as rare drops from rifts or killing extractors). This boss also gives buffs to the faction that kills it. 5 stacks of each buff. In addition he drops rare and elite (low chance) pvp essences, trinkets, crystals, and seals. This boss should be on par with a 20 man raid boss in terms of difficulty.”
Some very cool stuff here. Dormant Core is currently pretty, well, dormant, and its location makes a suggestion like this seem pretty ideal.

Sounds about right. Conquest in Stillmoor is definitely a good starting point, but where Trion heads with this idea is going to be even more interesting.
