Did T3 PA Get Lost in the Shuffle?

Back in mid-March, Planar Attunement’s 3rd tier briefly made an appearance on the PTS. After players previewed the additions, it was then taken off the PTS, with a message from Gersh, saying that T3 needed some improvements and Trion would hold off on its release until a “future update.”

That was before Patch 1.8 rolled out, and today we’ve just seen 1.9 unleashed on live servers. New content patches are awesome (and there was much rejoicing!), but one question still looms out there waiting to be answered: What happened to T3 PA, and why haven’t we heard an update regarding its implementation?

Now, it’s entirely possible that Trion’s still working out some of its major kinks, perhaps even reworking some of the PA nodes from the ground up, but it would be nice to hear how it’s shaping up. Players have began to speculate as to Trion’s intentions for T3 in a couple of places on the official forums. Here’s one.

Some players think the idea has been scrapped altogether, and that we may not see PA again after Storm Legion launches. That’s possible, but I think more people are actually pleased with the depth PA offers to endgame than displeased with it. Other players feel that PA will reappear after players hit level 60 in Storm Legion, and that level 60 will mark the entrance of T3:

“It will be introduced by player power as more and more players have reached the PA cap and are no longer gaining experience.

If nothing else Trion listens to their customers or have done up to now.”

Trion did pull T3 away due to player feedback, plus the fact that so many players weren’t exactly ready for it at the time. It would make sense to see PA again in Storm Legion, and hopefully Trion will decide to rework the parts of it that could benefit from a little more creativity. It’s even possible that we may be able to accrue PA experience while leveling from 50-60, which would help close the current gap between players.
